Meet Samson!
Samson is a stocky, low-riding Pittie mix estimated to be 5-6 years old and weighing around 60 pounds. After arriving as a stray and never being reclaimed, he's ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family to call his own.
This sweet guy has a laid-back personality and is happy to take life one sniff at a time! Samson loves exploring the world with his nose and enjoys leisurely walks where he can stop and investigate all the interesting smells. He walks nicely on a leash and keeps his kennel clean, so we think he'll settle into a house-training routine quickly with consistency. Samson is also a big fan of stuffed toys and tasty treats. He already knows "sit" and is eager to earn snacks!
He has been doing well meeting dogs at the shelter and has potential to live with another dog! A meet and greet with other dogs in the home would take place at the shelter to ensure it is a good match. He has the potential to live with a cat with proper introductions. Samson would do best in an adult only home.
Samson is available now through our Foster-to-Adopt program. That means he can head home with his future family while he waits for his scheduled neuter surgery. Once his procedure is complete, his adoption can be finalized! In the meantime, Samson gets the best of both worlds: a comfy home, lots of love, and the chance to start his happily-ever-after before it's officially official!
