Buddy Boy, a sweet, scruffy young boy with a gentle soul and a personality that will steal your heart.

Buddy is almost one year old and weighs about 28 pounds. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, he becomes affectionate, silly, loving, and very attached to his people.

Unfortunately, Buddy didn’t have the easiest start in life. He is not yet house-trained and will need a patient family willing to work with him consistently on potty training. He is friendly with other animals, but because of his past, he may guard his food from other dogs. He does not guard his food from people.

We believe Buddy would be happiest in a calm home with someone who has plenty of time for him—perhaps a retired person or retired couple looking for a loving companion to share their days with.

Buddy simply needs patience, stability, and love. Give him a little time to settle in and feel safe, and he will reward you with all the love and loyalty in his little heart.
