Chase - Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Lucas, Texas

Available From Texas

This is Chase. A big, beautiful Australian Shepherd weighing around 70 pounds.

How old is Chase? That’s actually a mystery! He’s been examined at several veterinary clinics, and somehow nobody can agree on his age. One vet estimated 3 years old, another said 10! We believe the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

What we do know is that Chase has arthritis.

Chase is a wonderful dog who gets along well with other dogs. He needs ongoing joint support, including glucosamine and chondroitin, and he’s sensitive when someone touches his back legs because they sometimes bother him. But Chase can walk. Chase can run. Chase enjoys life. And Chase wants to live. Unfortunately, not many people are willing to open their homes to a dog with special needs.

But we haven’t given up hope. We aren’t asking for much. We just want Chase to have a backyard where he can enjoy being outside, a quiet and peaceful place to rest, and a family who will love him, understand his limitations, and make sure he receives his daily joint supplements and any veterinary care he needs.

We want Chase to enjoy every day of his life for as long as he is happy, mobile, and interested in the world around him. Chase needs a home. He really, really needs one. He has nowhere permanent to go, and we desperately need to find him somewhere safe.

Please share Chase’s story. Maybe you can’t adopt him, but someone on your friends list might be exactly the person we’ve been hoping to find.
Chase doesn’t need a perfect home. He needs a home where he will be loved, understood, and never given up on. Please help us find that home for him.
