Meet Muffin, aka Lil' Love Muffin - a name that takes about thirty seconds with her to completely understand. This 10-pound bundle of curiosity and cuddles is loving, goofy, and playful, with just enough initial shyness to make her warm-up feel like a reward. She might take a moment to assess a new situation, but her curiosity wins out quickly, and before long she's investigating everything with that signature exploratory mouth of hers - which is part of why she'd do best in a home with older kids who can roll with her antics.

She gets along great with other dogs (she's currently living happily alongside a small Cavalier foster sister), and she's friendly and cheerful when guests come by. She'll whimper a little when left alone at first, but she settles down on her own after a few minutes a small ask for everything she gives in return. She also has the most adorable white fur on her legs that makes her look like she's wearing little socks, which is frankly unfair.

Muffin's days are pretty easygoing meals twice a day, treats throughout (she is very food motivated), daily walks, and plenty of playtime with her tougher chew toys. She's getting more confident on NYC streets by the day, and she loves a good dog park run. She's still working on potty and crate training, so she'll need a patient adopter who can keep reinforcing good habits with positive encouragement and, yes, more treats. She'd be happy as an only dog or with a canine companion, and she's a great fit for apartment life. Her ideal person is someone who has time to be present with her because Muffin is a people-oriented girl through and through, and once she decides you're her person, you'll have a snuggle-monster shadow for life.
