Fizzgig - Terrier Dog for Adoption in Fort Collins, Colorado

Is Fizzgig a Muppet or a dog? (If you've seen The Dark Crystal, you'll understand!) Either way, this adorable boy will steal your heart with his piercing blue eyes and his even sweeter personality.

Fizzgig is a goofy, affectionate pup whose personality shines a little more each day. He is kind and somewhat submissive with the resident dog, respectful of the resident cat's boundaries, and absolutely adores his people-especially the resident 11-year-old, whom he completely loves.

He is both kennel trained and house trained, and happily heads into his crate when offered a Kong filled with peanut butter. Fizzgig is generally easygoing on leash walks, although the occasional rabbit or squirrel can momentarily turn into a very serious matter. Fortunately, he's responsive to "leave it" when treats are involved. Like many young dogs, he can become overly enthusiastic and occasionally jump up to greet people, but he's making great progress with his manners.

A champion cuddler, Fizzgig loves spending time with his people and has a hilarious habit of squeezing himself into the smallest spaces possible for a nap. Equal parts lovable and entertaining, Fizzgig is sure to bring plenty of laughter, companionship, and joy to his future family.

Fizzgig is a 1-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Fizzgig is also tested with other dogs, children, cats, and potty and kennel trained. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, adoption applications are processed within 12 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
