Annie’s story is one of resilience, healing, and a whole lot of heart.
For over a month, Annie survived on her own as a stray, navigating the world with a painful, untreated injury. When she was finally humanely trapped and brought to safety, X-rays revealed the heartbreaking truth—someone had shot her, shattering her elbow. To give her the chance at a pain-free, happy life, Annie underwent a necessary amputation. And she’s embraced her new chapter with incredible spirit.
Now a thriving 3-year-old, 31-pound “tripod,” Annie is 100% housebroken and doesn’t let anything slow her down. She’s gentle, playful, and absolutely loves her toys. She does great with dogs her size and could likely do well with bigger dogs too—she just enjoys being the one who wears the crown!
Annie is heartworm positive, but Kerrville Pets Alive will cover the cost of her treatment, ensuring she continues on the path to full health. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, protected with flea prevention, and microchipped.
Despite her difficult start, Annie has blossomed into a true social butterfly. She loves making new friends—both human and canine—and brings joy wherever she goes. Annie is ready for a loving home where she can continue to shine and finally enjoy the life she’s always deserved.
