DESCRIPTION
You won't find Hunter without his beloved ball!
Hunter is ready to finally get the love and loyalty he’s always deserved.
This 4-year-old medium-sized Shepherd mix was heartbreakingly left tied to a mailbox when his family moved away. Despite that rough start, Hunter has held onto his sweet, trusting nature and is now fully vetted and ready for a fresh beginning.
Hunter is great with other dogs and absolutely obsessed with his ball—fetch is one of his favorite games. But the cutest part? He’ll proudly drop his ball, sit back, and stare at it until you notice he’s ready for another round. It’s impossible not to smile at him.
He is housebroken, affectionate, and loves attention from his people. Hunter is the kind of dog who just wants to belong again—to run, play, and be part of a family that won’t leave him behind.
Now he’s ready to start his next chapter in a forever home where he will be cherished the way he always should have been.
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE.
Hunter IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN KERRVILLE, TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The shepherd dog breed encompasses a versatile group known for their intelligence, loyalty, and strong work ethic. With a heritage deeply rooted in herding and protecting livestock, shepherds excel at various tasks ranging from obedience and agility competitions to search and rescue missions. Their protective nature makes them excellent family pets, offering unwavering devotion and a natural instinct to watch over and care for their loved ones. In addition to their remarkable abilities, shepherds are often characterized by their distinctive appearance, including a sturdy build, alert expression, and a signature double coat that provides insulation and protection in various climates.
