Marley is a 4-year-old Shih Tzu–Bichon mix with a soft, all-white coat and an even softer heart. Due to changes in his owner’s circumstances, he’s looking for a new home where he can be loved and cared for the way he deserves.
This sweet boy already has some great manners under his belt—he knows “sit” and “stay,” and he’ll happily offer his paw for a treat without even being asked. It’s one of his cutest little habits and guaranteed to make you smile.
Marley gets along well with other dogs and has been around cats before, though slow introductions and supervision are recommended to help everyone feel comfortable. Because of his small size, he would do best in a home with older children (14+) who understand how to be gentle and respectful with smaller pups.
He does have a bit of a chatty side, so he’s not the best fit for apartment living. Marley would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and burn off some energy. He may need a refresher on house training, so a patient adopter willing to guide him will help him succeed.
Like many dogs with his coat type, Marley will require regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best—think of it as extra bonding time (and an excuse for more cuddles).
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a touch of personality and a whole lot of charm, Marley might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is $250.
