Hola! My name is AL and here is some info about me:
PHYSICAL INFO:
Breed: Terrier / Greyhound Mix
Age: 1 year old
Gender: Male
Weight: 39 lbs (18 kgs)
Height: 51 cm (paws to shoulders)
Length: 60 cm (head to butt)
Current Location: Mexico City
RESCUE STORY – I was found by my rescuers in an area that has a high abandonment rate in the south of Mexico City. Luckily, I secured a spot at my pawsome foster home! I can't wait to begin my new life in Canada and free up room at my foster home so other dogs like me can be rescued from the streets and get a second chance at life!
TEMPERAMENT – I'm a tall, slender boy with a similar build to a Greyhound (which is super duper rare in Mexico!), and my wiry coat gives me a unique look! I'm a big goofball who loooves getting pets. I can be a bit shy at first, but with love, patience, and yummy treats, I warm up quickly. I am a sweet, gentle boy who gets along with humans of all ages (kiddos too!) and doggos of all sizes. I'm a pretty chill dude without crazy energy (although I do love my daily play and exercise). The perfect combo, if I do say so myself!
ENERGY LEVEL – Medium / Low. While I love playing and running around, I can also be a bit of a couch potato!
GETS ALONG WITH:
Kids – Yes! I am pretty content around kiddos and enjoy gentle pets, as you can see in this video!
NOTE: as with all dogs, I should be supervised around children and should have my space advocated for by adults.
Dogs – Yes! I live with other pups in my foster home and we get along very well. My best friend is a terrier mix named Snooki!
Cats – Unknown.
PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I'm not too sure how I'll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.
TRAINING:
Leash skills –Work in progress. I am currently receiving leash training and making good progress! I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success!
House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :)
Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.
HEALTH NOTES:
I am microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, and de-wormed. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records.
I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada.
NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.
ADOPTION FEE:
My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax ($750.00 + 5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver.

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.
WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
