Athena - Siberian Husky Dog for Adoption in Orange, Virginia

Rescue / Foster-to-Adopt / Adoption Upon Completion of Vetting

Athena is a 7-year-old female Siberian Husky weighing approximately 40 pounds and gaining weight every day! She arrived at our shelter severely underweight and in need of care, but beneath those difficult beginnings, we've discovered a sweet, social, wonderfully expressive girl with plenty to say!

Athena is a true Husky conversationalist. She's delightfully dramatic, has opinions about practically everything, and isn't shy about sharing them. Athena previously lived with other dogs, although meet-and-greets are required with any resident dogs to ensure a suitable match. She also keeps her kennel clean.

With regular meals, grooming, and plenty of TLC, Athena is gaining much-needed weight and showing more of her playful personality every day. Her transformation is still underway, but she's already come a long way.

Athena needs a home that appreciates her spirited personality and will continue helping her thrive. At seven years old, she has plenty of puppy spirit and enthusiasm for the next chapter of her life.

Athena has received vaccinations, microchipping, heartworm and tick-borne disease testing, deworming, and flea/tick prevention.

Athena is available to rescue organizations, for foster-to-adopt placement, or for adoption once her vetting is completed.
