DESCRIPTION
Meet Sawyer, a five year old Husky/German Shepherd mix weighing 71 pounds.
Sawyer is the perfect mix of wisdom and fun—a great middle-aged dog who’s happily out of the puppy chaos but still has plenty of life and personality left to share. If you’re looking for a companion without the nonstop energy of a young pup, Sawyer might be just your guy.
He’s a friendly, independent boy who enjoys being around people but is also perfectly content doing his own thing. Sawyer is smart and already knows "sit"... though he may give you a look first to make sure you really mean it! He’s got a bit of a stubborn streak, but it just adds to his charm and makes him all the more endearing.
On walks, Sawyer loves to take his time sniffing and exploring the world around him—he’s a curious guy who enjoys taking in all the sights and smells. He’s also pretty intrigued by squeaky toys and will happily investigate what all the fuss is about.
Sawyer would do well in a home that appreciates a dog with personality—one who doesn’t need constant attention but still enjoys companionship and adventure at his own pace. With his balance of independence, friendliness, and smarts, Sawyer is ready to be a loyal and easygoing addition to the right home.
If you’re looking for a dog who’s past the puppy phase but still full of life and character, Sawyer is ready to meet you!
