Meet Posey!

This tiny little Shih Tzu mix weighs just 7.6 pounds and came to us from the Hondo Animal Shelter. We estimate she's about 4 years old, and she's so little you could practically tuck her into your purse!

Posey has a wonderful temperament and gets along famously with everyone she meets. She's affectionate, gentle, and truly one of the sweetest little girls you'll ever meet.

She tested "indeterminate" for Chagas so we were told to retest her in 30 days or on Aug. 13th. if she tests positive on her second reading, she will need to treated. It's not a big deal at all and only costs $30 for every 20 lbs. of dog weight if you get your medications at Costco.

Posey is currently located in Hondo, Texas, but be sure to check our transport schedule—we may already be planning a trip to your area.
