Snickers - Shih Tzu Dog for Adoption in Gainesville, Virginia

Meet Snickers!

Sweet, scruffy, and absolutely adorable, meet Snickers!

Snickers is an adorable adult dog with a gorgeous chocolate-and-caramel coat, an irresistibly shaggy face, and the cutest little expression!

This precious pup was rescued from South Texas and is now getting a second chance at finding the loving family every dog deserves! Snickers is expected to arrive Halloween weekend and can't wait to meet a forever family!

Based on appearance, our best guess is that Snickers is a Shih Tzu/Terrier mix, although the exact breed is unknown. Snickers appears to be a small dog, but we'll have a better idea of size and weight once our rescue has had a chance to evaluate this adorable pup in person.

Since Snickers is new to our rescue, we're still learning about personality, temperament, and daily habits. Adopters should be prepared to provide patience, consistency, and plenty of love while Snickers adjusts to a new home.

That adorable shaggy coat will likely require regular brushing and grooming to keep it healthy and comfortable!

**Important Adoption Information:**

Please understand that rescue dogs often come to us with little to no background information. We may not know their parents, genetic background, previous living conditions, or complete medical history.

All breed identifications are our best guesses based on physical appearance. We do not perform DNA testing, and breed, adult size, temperament, and energy level cannot be guaranteed.

While we do our best to provide accurate information, a dog's personality and behavior may change as they settle into a new environment. Adopters should be prepared to provide patience, consistency, training, and time to adjust.

All veterinary care provided is based on the dog's age and needs while in our rescue. We cannot guarantee a dog's future health or rule out unknown medical conditions.

**A Note About Adoption Fees:**

Paws Deep Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run by dedicated volunteers. Adoption fees are not a profit for our rescue. They help cover the costs of rescuing, transporting, feeding, and providing veterinary care for animals in our care.

While some adoption fees help offset the cost of an individual dog's care, many of the animals we rescue require extensive medical treatment, surgeries, or other specialized care that far exceeds their adoption fees. The fees collected from adoptions
