Say hi to Alfalfa! This handsome little guy is possibly a Havanese/Shih Tzu mix, around 4 years old, and weighs 15 pounds. Alfalfa came to us as a stray in such severe matting that he was almost unrecognizable underneath all that fur. Now that he’s had a much-needed haircut, we can finally see the sweet face hiding underneath! Despite clearly having been through a lot, Alfalfa is still a happy, friendly, and gentle boy who seems ready to put his past behind him. He’s playful, enjoys his walks, and even does well in the car, making him a fun little companion for both everyday life and adventures. Alfalfa is open to meeting other dogs, can be cat tested, and we think he’d do well with kids. He will need a family committed to the time and cost associated with regular grooming.
