Denali’s Story

Meet Denali! Denali is a beautiful 1-year-old girl weighing about 44 pounds. We suspect she may be a Shiba Inu mix!

Denali is a happy, sweet girl who loves people and attention! She has quite a bit of energy and loves to run around, play, and have a good time. She's a fun, active girl with a big personality and plenty of love to give.

Denali came to us with her best friend, a Chocolate Lab, and the two have a blast playing together! She has also done well with other dogs, although she can be a little dominant and likes to be in charge. Denali can be a lot of dog at times, so she would do best with someone who understands active, strong-willed breeds and can provide some consistency, exercise, and direction.

Denali was surrendered by her owner through no fault of her own. Her owner was elderly and simply couldn't keep up with her energy and needs anymore. Now she's looking for a family who can give her the active, loving home she deserves.

Denali really is a sweet, happy girl who just needs the right match. With plenty of exercise, attention, and someone who appreciates her personality, we think she'll make a wonderful companion!

Denali is located in Gainesville, TX, but we offer transportation services all over the U.S. Out-of-state adopters are welcome to schedule a FaceTime meet-and-greet with her before adoption. The Shiba Inu is a small to medium sized dog breed known for its fox like appearance, with a curled tail and upright ears. Originating from Japan, Shiba Inus are independent, alert, and spirited dogs. They are loyal to their families but can be reserved around strangers. Recognized for their bold and confident nature, Shiba Inus require consistent training and socialization to thrive. With a thick double coat and a distinct red, sesame, or black and tan coloration, Shiba Inus are charming companions for active individuals or families.
