Astro - Maltese Dog for Adoption in Gainesville, Texas

Astro is a sweet little guy who deserves a fresh start and a family who won't give up on him. He is around 5 years old, weighs about 20 pounds, and we suspect he is a Maltese mix.

Sadly, Astro's previous owners abandoned him. They knew where he was but chose not to come get him. When he arrived, he was also in desperate need of a good grooming. Despite everything, Astro did absolutely amazing with the groomer and handled the whole experience like a champ!

Astro can be a little shy when meeting new people, but he just needs some time to feel safe and comfortable. Once he has a chance to settle in, his sweet personality starts to shine. He isn't a dog who wants to be rushed, and a little patience and kindness will go a long way with him.

Other dogs can sometimes be overwhelming for Astro, so we feel he would do best in a calm, loving home. If there are other dogs, they should be calm and respectful of his space. Slow, supervised introductions and someone willing to give him time to adjust will be important.

Astro has already experienced being left behind, and we would love nothing more than to see him find a family who will never make him feel that way again. He is a good little boy who just needs someone willing to give him the love, patience, and security he deserves.
