Freckles - Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dog for Adoption in Gainesville, Texas

Meet Freckles! This adorable little girl is around 3 months old, weighs about 8 pounds, and we suspect she is an Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) mix. She may be small right now, but she has plenty of personality and energy packed into that little body!

Sadly, Freckles didn't have the best start. She was dumped outside our shelter, left in a cage in the sun. Thankfully, she is safe with us now, and despite what she has been through, she is as sweet as can be!

Freckles is your typical little Heeler puppy! She is energetic, vocal, playful, and full of life. She has no problem letting you know when she has something to say! Heelers are known for being intelligent, active dogs who thrive when given plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and training. Freckles will need a family who understands those breed traits and is ready to put in the time to help her grow into a well-mannered adult.

She is still just a baby, so everything is a learning experience. Potty training, manners, socialization, and all the other fun parts of raising a puppy will be part of the adventure. With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, we think Freckles has the potential to become a wonderful companion.

Freckles may have been left behind once, but we are determined to find her a family who will never make her feel unwanted again!
