Meet Rusty!



Rusty is a 4-month-old Shepherd mix weighing about 20 pounds. He's a happy, energetic puppy with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime! With his curious nature and goofy antics, Rusty keeps everyone smiling.



Rusty loves people and is always ready to make new friends. He gets along with other dogs and cats, though he's still learning that not everyone wants to play as much as he does. If another dog or cat tells him “no thanks,” he's respectful and backs off. He's also done well around caged birds.



Like any young puppy, Rusty is still working on his indoor manners. He does well with frequent trips outside (about every hour). He's crate trained and happily goes into his “house,” especially when rewarded with a treat. His crate is his safe place, and he keeps it clean as long as he's taken outside when he lets you know he needs to go.



Rusty is full of puppy energy! He loves squeaky and crinkly toys, enjoys tug-of-war and fetch (although bringing the toy back is still a work in progress!), and is always ready for an adventure followed by a well-earned nap.



He's learning good manners, walks well on a leash, rides nicely in the car, and has been taught to stay off the furniture with a simple “down.” He is eager to learn and would thrive with a family committed to continuing his training.



Rusty is neutered, UTD on age-appropriate vaccinations and on preventatives. He is ready to find a forever family who will enjoy raising a fun-loving, active puppy into an amazing lifelong companion.
