DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi there! I'm Pup July, and I'm ready to declare my independence... from shelter life and into a forever home!

I'm one of the adorable members of the 4th of July Litter (Independence, July, Sparkle, and Firecracker). We found ourselves in a shelter in Charlotte County, Virginia, but thanks to the amazing people at K-9 Lifesavers, we're safe, happy, and searching for families to call our own.

I'm everything you'd hope for in a young puppy—sweet, playful, curious, and always ready for my next adventure. Whether it's chasing toys, making new dog friends, learning fun tricks, or snuggling up after a busy day, I'm all in! I'm at the perfect age for training and socialization, which means I can't wait to grow into the very best companion by your side.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
