Little Rocky is a small shepherd mix with a personality that’s impossible not to love. He’s a goofy, squirrelly little guy who’s always on the go and ready for his next adventure. Whether he’s racing around the yard with his foster siblings or searching for his next snack, Little Rocky lives life with endless enthusiasm.

Little Rocky is very food motivated, making him eager to learn. He still eats separately with a slow feeder because he gets a little too excited at mealtime, but he takes treats politely with the other dogs. One of his funniest quirks happens every evening at kennel time. As soon as the Milk-Bones come out, Little Rocky stands on his back legs, hooks his front paws over the kennel door, and pokes his little nose through the top, patiently waiting for his bedtime treat. It’s guaranteed to make you smile.

He’s doing great with potty training and is currently learning to sleep outside of his kennel overnight. After he’s had a chance to burn off his puppy energy, Little Rocky is all about cuddles and happily settles in for some quality snuggle time.

Little Rocky came into the Smith County Animal Shelter with his sister Rosie. They were rescued when the shelter was overcrowded and needed to make space He’s spent the last couple of months in foster care learning what it’s like to be part of a family, and he’s ready to find one of his own.

Little Rocky is ready for the next chapter. He’s hoping that chapter includes a family who will love his goofy personality, enjoy his playful spirit, and show him that he’s finally home.
