Dora
is an 8-year-old spayed female Shepherd - Terrier mix with a tan and brown coat, weighing 65 lbs. Found as a stray in March, Dora is a calm, thoughtful girl who is feeling understandably tense in the shelter. She takes time to trust, but with patience and a gentle approach, her sweet and curious nature begins to show.
Dora is treat-motivated, walks nicely on leash, and has a low to medium energy level. Once she feels safe, she is gentle, easygoing, and quietly affectionate. She will need an adults-only home with no other dogs, along with an experienced adopter who understands how to go slow and build trust. With time and consistency, Dora has the potential to be a very loyal, steady companion.
