This handsome boy hasn’t had the easiest start - he’s quite thin and a bit timid at the shelter - but beneath that shyness is a dog who clearly craves love and connection. Once he’s out of his kennel, Bunches transforms into a calm, gentle sweetheart who sticks close like a shadow and soaks up affection. He may show some barrier reactivity in the kennel, so an adults-only home could be the best fit, but he does well with other dogs and may even benefit from a confident canine companion. True to his breed, he’s incredibly smart and eager to learn, making training and bonding a rewarding experience. -may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before he can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this!

-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 3/3/26 as a stray

-truly a diamond in the rough - has all the makings of a perfect canine companion, just needs the time and space to decompress and the TLC he needs to feel safe

-eager to seek out affection and quick to give it out in return

-barrier reactive, so does not present his best self in the kennel, but does beautifully once out

-would do well with a canine big sibling, but may need an adults only home
