Dudley - Schnauzer and Coonhound Dog for Adoption in New Orleans, Louisiana

DUDLEY: GENETICS HAD A SIDE QUEST

Dudley was born in February 2026, weighs 27 pounds, and is a Schnauzer/Coonhound mix. And yes, he and Presley are biological brothers. We have witnesses.

Because while Presley came out looking decidedly hound, Dudley apparently looked over the available genetics and said, I'll take the beard.

And the socks. And the legs. And those ears.

Dudley is a wonderfully scruffy collection of features that somehow work perfectly together. He has long, lanky legs, four little white-dipped paws, floppy hound ears, a fuzzy muzzle, and a face that constantly looks like he's waiting to hear whether he's been a good boy.

He has. Very much so.

Dudley is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate. There's a softness to his personality that matches that earnest little face. He loves attention and being near his people, but he has an easy, tender way about him rather than demanding to be the center of everything.

Since he was born in February 2026, there's still plenty of puppyhood ahead. He has growing to do, things to learn, and several unanswered questions regarding exactly how long those legs intend to become.

The beard also appears to be a developing situation.

But Dudley himself is already pretty easy to figure out: sweet, affectionate, gentle, and ridiculously lovable.

He has the face of a dog who would apologize to you if you stepped on his foot.

And we're fairly certain those ears have never heard a single negative thing about him.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
