Ernie - Rottweiler Dog for Adoption in Orange, Virginia

Ernie is a 5–6-year-old Rottweiler weighing just under 80 pounds and still working on putting on some needed weight.

He arrived as a stray dirty, underweight, with scabby skin and eyes that were irritated and crusted with discharge. His eyes were treated with medication, and with some good meals and care, he's already looking and feeling much better.

Ernie was shy when he first arrived, but once this Rottie decides you're one of his people, you've been claimed. He's affectionate, loves his people and is perfectly happy settling at your feet after getting his share of lovins.

He has done well with most dogs and keeps his kennel tidy. Cats are a no for Ernie—he was very alert and growled during his visit to the cat room.

Ernie has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, updated on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed and given monthly flea/tick prevention before adoption.
