Nova - Retriever and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Meet Nova, a brave little explorer with a heart full of love! This affectionate and friendly pup has a playful, goofy side that will keep you smiling as she plays carefree while you are sitting down for your morning coffee. Curious about everything, she loves discovering new sights and sounds, especially if they squeak, crinkle, or roll.

Nova has a gentle and cuddly nature, always ready for a snuggle after some play time with a toy. Smart and confident, she learns quickly and shows just the right touch of independence. She can already sleep through the night in her kennel, and is mastering an awesome "high five"! Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy or a couch companion, Nova has the perfect mix of energy and sweetness to be your new best friend.

Nova is good with other dogs and kids and is working on house and kennel training.

Nova is estimated to be 10 weeks old and 6 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, and have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.

The retriever is a beloved dog breed known for its friendly demeanor, intelligence, and exceptional ability to retrieve objects. With a loyal and gentle nature, retrievers make excellent family pets and are popular choices for service and therapy work. These dogs excel in obedience training and activities such as agility and hunting. Recognized for their shiny coats and moderate size, retrievers come in various colors including golden, Labrador, and Chesapeake Bay. Their overall versatility and affectionate personalities make them cherished companions in many households.
