Meet Pugsley!
If you're looking for a fun-loving companion with a great personality, Pugsley may be your perfect match!
This happy Pug mix is always ready to enjoy life, whether he's making new friends, playing with other dogs, or soaking up attention from his people. Pugsley has a cheerful, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to be around.
Pugsley is also a graduate of Missouri's Puppies for Parolees program, where shelter dogs receive obedience training, socialization, and valuable life skills while working with inmate trainers. Through the program, Pugsley learned basic commands and gained experience that will help him transition successfully into a home environment.
One of Pugsley's favorite activities is spending time at daycare, where he loves to play and socialize with other dogs. He enjoys canine companionship and would likely love having dog friends to play with in his new home.
After spending time waiting for a family of his own, Pugsley is more than ready to start his next chapter. He's hoping to find a family that will include him in their daily adventures, give him plenty of love, and provide the forever home he's been waiting for.
With his friendly personality, playful spirit, and training foundation, Pugsley has all the ingredients to make a wonderful companion.

About Day of the Dogs
Day of the Dogs is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping shelter and rescue dogs find safety, families, and second chances.
Founded in 2015 by a Kansas City native, Day of the Dogs began after Pam moved to Houston, Texas and witnessed firsthand the devastating shelter overcrowding crisis facing southern communities, where some shelters have only days to find an outcome for homeless pets.
Today, Day of the Dogs coordinates life-saving transports from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and other southern areas to rescue partners, shelters, fosters, and adopters in Northwest Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City region communities where adoption demand can help create better outcomes for pets in need. We also focus on long stay dogs in the Greater Kansas City and surrounding rural areas to help those pets get out of kennels and into homes.
We also facilitate direct adoptions through our foster networks in both Kansas City and Northwest Indiana and partner with shelters and rescue organizations across Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, and Indiana to save more lives together.
Because every open foster home creates another opportunity to save a dog, we are always looking for foster families to join our mission.
Day of the Dogs operates entirely on donations. Every transport, veterinary appointment, supply purchase, and life saved is possible because of supporters who believe every dog deserves a chance.
