Amazing Nyx - Presa Canario Dog for Adoption in Burlington, North Carolina

This unbelievably beautiful, sweet as pie, big mushy baby girl is named Nyx!! This girl and her siblings were surrendered into Rescue after their owner had an accidental litter. The owner bred Presa Canario’s, but had a few other dogs. This little girl‘s mom was a purebred Presa, but they could not confirm who the father was therefore we’re looking to surrender the litter sadly. All of them have markings of Presa, with no clear indicator that they have been mixed with anything. They were raised with a family but the family decided they weren’t interested in finding buyers, and surrendered the entire litter to their local dog pound. We were shocked when we received a desperate call for help from the animal control officers. They wanted to ensure these sweet mushy babies made it out of the shelter and into the right rescue, where they would find amazing homes!
This girl is now 20 weeks old and she has just had all of her medical work completed! She’s now current on all vaccines, dewormed, she’s current on preventative, microchipped, and spayed! She’s had all the good stuff done and been given a clean bill of health- now she just needs to find her true love!
Nyx has adjusted very well into her foster home. She’s been fantastic with other dogs, with cats, and with every person she’s met. She has a hearty appetite and getting all the food she needs now! She’s been very social and well adjusted thus far. She has been fantastic with every dog she’s met, both littermates as well as new dogs in play groups. This girl is absolutely amazing! She’s doing great with reliably going potty outside and learning the ropes of being a well loved house dog. As we cannot know for sure her dad, we can’t know how big she’ll mature to be, but we are guessing around 90 lbs. She is extremely devoted to her people and will thrive in a home where there’s a yard, hopefully another pup, and most definitely humans who enjoy a good snuggle on the couch and would like a dog super devoted who will follow you around the house and the yard, and commit their heart to you. She’s extraordinarily intelligent and has had an excellent foundation of socialization this far. She’s longing for a home where she will be a true family member, with people like her; easy going, and committed to forever by her devoted parents. She’s intelligent and playful as she’s a puppy, loving toys and adventure and all the great things puppies can learn about the world. That said, she’s a more relaxed puppy and also just loves snuggling in her downtime.
