DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Barry — The Fluffy Survivor with a Heart of Gold
Found in the median of a busy Alabama highway, Barry had clearly been through more than any pup ever should. Tragically, his companion didn't make it—but Barry was rescued just in the nick of time. And while his past is heartbreaking, this sweet boy is now safe and sound. Barry is ready to trade in highway traffic for belly rubs, cozy couches, and a forever family who will never let him down again. Barry is also housebroken, loves the water and gets along well with other dogs, so he would be happy to have a doggy buddy or be your one and only. Barry has tested positive for heartworm, but with treatment provided by K-9 Lifesavers, he'll be feeling fine in no time.
Barry's been through a lot, but you'd never know it from his kind, resilient spirit. All he's missing now is a family to show him what happily-ever-after really looks like. Ready to give Barry the life he deserves? Apply today!

Your pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
