DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Babe Peony!

Say hello to Babe Peony, a tiny, adorable nugget with a big heart and an even bigger future ahead of her. Peony was found in a shelter in Alabama with her brother, Babe Tigger. While shelters are no place for little puppies, their luck quickly turned around when they were rescued by the wonderful team at K-9 Lifesavers. Now safe and happy in a loving foster home, Peony is beginning her journey to find the forever family she deserves.

Peony is believed to be a Chihuahua / Border Terrier mix (our best guess!) and is expected to stay on the smaller side once fully grown. What she may lack in size, she more than makes up for in sweetness. This little girl absolutely loves to be held and cuddled, and she will happily soak up all the affection you're willing to give. Peony also loves other dogs and enjoys playing and exploring with her canine friends. Like any young puppy, she is playful, curious, and full of fun. At her age, she is in the perfect stage for training and socialization, making this a wonderful time for her to bond with her new family and grow into an amazing companion. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
