Meet Kobe!

He is 3 years old, silver and curly, and once he decides you are safe he is going to want to be near you every single moment of the day.

Kobe is a Doodle mix with a gorgeous gray coat and a heart that is wide open and he just needs a little time to get there. He is deaf, which means he navigates the world differently than most dogs, he startles when he does not see someone coming, and genuinely thrives with patient introductions and a home that understands his experience. None of that changes who he is underneath it all: a sweet, affectionate boy who seeks out closeness once trust is established and never really wants to let go.

He is making his way to Maine on November 7th as an owner surrender, arriving ready for the fresh start he deserves. The person who gives him time to settle is going to be met with a deeply devoted companion who follows their lead and loves them completely.

Kobe is also working through heartworm treatment and will do best in a calm, consistent home that can support him through his recovery while he finds his footing.

That home is going to feel very lucky when he finally decides they are his people. And he will.
