Meet Toshi, a sweet and playful boy who loves to be part of the action! This medium-energy guy loves to run and play, but he also lights up when he's invited onto to the couch for a snuggle. Toshi will thrive in a home where he can receive the structure, love, and support that will help him confidently navigate the world.

Toshi adores people and greets new friends by pressing right up against them for pets. While he hasn't met children, it's likely that he would do well with dog-savvy kids who want to play with a big, goofy teddy bear. With other dogs, Toshi appreciates slow introductions with good boundaries while he gets comfortable, especially in his own space. Once he has some time to warm up he treats other pups like old friends and matches their energies and play styles well. Toshi hopes that his new family will advocate for his needs in this area and provide the structure that makes him feel safe. This goofball does great with dog-savvy cats—he is interested in them as new friends, but if they aren't into it he respectfully walks away. Toshi loves to play fetch and will run after a ball for as long as you can throw it!

Toshi is crate trained and stays in his crate consistently during the day and overnight. He sometimes makes his best sad face in an attempt to stay out and play, but with a gentle nudge he goes right into his crate and settles down immediately. Toshi is house trained and doesn't have any accidents when he's on a consistent schedule of potty breaks. He loves to go on leash walks and sniff all of the interesting things around him. Toshi does alert to some things while on leash and looks forward to building his confidence in his new home. This smart boy already knows sit, lie down, and shake, and would love to continue his training with his new family.
