Meet Nala Nala's story hasn't been an easy one. She spent her life living outside, surviving neglect, and was even attacked by an aggressive dog who injured her leg and ripped her ear. But if you met her today, you would never guess the hardships she's endured—because Nala has not let her past dim her light one bit.

This beautiful girl is truly one of the sweetest, happiest, most loving dogs you could ever meet. She is so incredibly grateful just to be safe, cared for, and loved. Nala has the kind of personality that melts hearts—always smiling, always wagging her tail (seriously, it never stops!), and always ready to share cuddles and kisses.

At just 2 years old and 45 pounds, Nala is the perfect medium-sized companion. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs (big and small!) and even cats. She is gentle, affectionate, and simply an all-around really good dog.

Nala is crate trained and spayed, has a healthy appetite, and is not food reactive (she does great with a slow feeder). Since she spent her life outdoors, she is still learning house manners and potty training. She's doing well but will need a patient family willing to give her a little extra time as she learns to hold her bladder longer overnight.

Nala also has a ruptured CCL in her left back leg, but don't tell her that—it doesn't slow her down one bit! Her absolute favorite activity? Sunbathing... no matter the weather

We previously rescued Nala's puppies from the same heartbreaking situation, and all but one have found loving homes. Now it's finally Nala and her last pup's turn to find the happy ending they deserve.
