DESCRIPTION
Hi! My name is Jackson and I am looking for a forever home. I was picked up as a stray and taken to a scary place called a shelter where, after my hold time was up and no one came to claim or adopt me, I was in danger of being placed on something bad called "the list". Fortunately for me, a small local rescue pulled me and contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes! I appear to be one of those things called a "doodle" but what exactly the poodle is mixed with is a mystery ... it could be a lab or even a schnauzer; whatever it is, my foster mom says I'm a handsome dude who has a great confident personality. I'm a little under 54lbs and at 18lbs, I shouldn't get too much bigger if it all. I have gotten along with the other dogs I have met and haven't even bothered the cats I've encountered. I have done well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding (although I will move it around a lot); however, I would really prefer to be out and about with you. I love my food and treats which can help with any training you might want to do. I do pretty well on leash although I may pull a little when I first get out in my excitement or if I see something that looks really interesting and want to check it out. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
