DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Pup Whistle! Whistle is an adorable young Pit mix who was rescued by K-9 Lifesavers from a shelter in Chesterfield, South Carolina. Now this sweet boy is ready to find a family of his very own! Whistle is truly a people dog and absolutely loves being with his humans. He is excellent with people—gentle, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. He even takes treats ever so gently! Whistle is also a great car rider and would be happy to tag along on all of life's adventures. When it comes to other dogs, Whistle seems nervous and unsure, so he would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. At just 6 months old, Whistle is at the perfect age for training, socialization, and learning all about life with his forever family. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
