DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Pup Twix! Twix and his brother, Pup Caramel, found themselves in a crowded shelter in Alabama after being picked up as strays. Sadly, no one came looking for them, and a shelter is no place for a sweet puppy! Thankfully, their luck has changed. K-9 Lifesavers stepped in, and these boys are now safe and ready to find their respective forever homes.

Twix is a true Heinz 57 mix — but one thing we know for sure is that he is 100% adorable! This sweet boy is friendly, lovable, and great with other dogs. He's ready to put his rough start behind him and discover just how wonderful life with a family can be. At his young age, Twix is in his prime for training and socialization and is ready to learn all the things that will help him grow into an amazing companion. With a little guidance, lots of love, and plenty of puppy adventures, he will make a fabulous addition to a loving home.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
