Meet Dottie!

Dottie is one of those dogs who makes you wonder how anyone could have ever let her down. This sweet Pit Bull mix has already had quite the journey, but through it all, she has remained a loving, happy, and wonderfully affectionate girl.

Dottie's story with us actually began when we found her living in an abandoned house right across the street from the Rescue. After getting her safely into our care, Dottie quickly showed us what a sweetheart she is. She loves people, loves attention, and is always ready for some fun. She's playful, affectionate, and an absolute joy to take for a walk-she walks beautifully on a leash!

Dottie was adopted a few weeks ago, but unfortunately, she was later picked up as a stray by our local Dog Warden and made her way back to us. While we were certainly heartbroken to see her again, we're choosing to believe that her perfect family is still out there waiting for her.

For now, Dottie is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She has not yet been fully dog-tested, so we're still learning more about how she feels about canine friends. Based on her behavior so far, we don't believe she's a great match for a home with cats. We'll continue getting to know her and will update her profile as we learn more.

What Dottie does know for sure is that she loves her people. She loves to play, she loves going for walks, and she loves being around the humans she trusts. She's the kind of dog who doesn't need anything fancy-just a safe home, a comfy bed, someone to take her on adventures, and a family who will choose her for good this time.

Dottie has already had to start over more than once. Now we're looking for her forever.

Dottie is hoping for a family who will give her the love, stability, and commitment she deserves-and never make her wonder where she's going to sleep tomorrow.
