Mykie: 430 Days Was Far Too Long to Wait

For more than 430 days, Mykie sat in a Texas shelter watching other dogs come and go. Day after day, month after month, she waited.

Maybe it was because she’s a black dog. Maybe because she’s a pit bull mix. Maybe people simply walked past without stopping long enough to see the incredible dog staring back at them. Whatever the reason, Mykie spent over a year being overlooked.

But then someone noticed. Someone saw the joy in her eyes, the wag in her tail, and the love she had been saving for a family of her own. They gave her a chance, and now this beautiful 2.5-year-old terrier mix has made her way to Vermont, hoping her forever family is finally out there.
