Meet Coco!

Coco is a 1-year-old spayed female Blue Heeler mix weighing about 40 lbs. She is an incredibly unique, highly intelligent, sweet girl and would love a home that would put her to work where she thrives best!

The person who finds Coco is going to be absolutely delighted to have such a smart, active, eager-to-learn dog. We truly believe Coco is capable of learning just about any job, task, or trick you put in front of her. She already has an impressive skill set:

Rings the bell when she needs to go outside
Excellent recall
Very interested in working with and listening to her person
Drops things on command
Waits at the threshold before going outside
Knows heel and stay
Excels at scent games
Master of the Chuck-It — she brings the ball right back to your feet!
Knows how to settle after she has had plenty of exercise
Sleeps through the night
Loves playing with other dogs and hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like

And then there’s the WATER.

Coco ABSOLUTELY LOVES water. She would swim after sticks until she literally dropped. I would strongly encourage a home with easy access to water — this girl would be in her element!

Coco’s forever home

Coco is a working-minded, athletic, intelligent young dog who needs daily physical activity and mental stimulation. She needs someone who will enjoy teaching her things, giving her jobs, playing games, exploring, training, and keeping that brilliant brain busy.

Her ideal home would be an adult home or a home with older children, with people who have the time and interest to dedicate to an active, exceptionally intelligent dog. A playful canine companion would be a huge bonus.

She’s looking for her person — someone who will look at everything she has to offer and say, “Oh, I’ve been looking for a dog exactly like you.”

The Cattle Dog is a diligent and robust herding breed known for its agility, intelligence, and hardworking nature. Originating in Australia, Cattle Dogs are highly energetic and require ample exercise and mental stimulation. With their remarkable problem solving skills and unwavering loyalty, they excel in various canine activities and make excellent companions for active owners. Their distinctive blue or red coat, sturdy build, and alert expression reflect their heritage as versatile working dogs.
