Meet Cassie!

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Cassie is a 55 pound female Pit Bull mix born on January 1, 2022. She has been in BFAR’s care since May 1, 2025; 495 days as of September 8, 2026. She is currently living in a foster home in Massachusetts.

PERSONALITY: Cassie is spunky, affectionate, and devoted to her people. She loves attention but can also entertain herself with her toys.

FAVORITE THINGS: Walks, sniffing adventures, zoomies, bones, couch cuddles, and squeaky toys she can enthusiastically destroy. She is very observant and has even caught flying bugs during walks.

AT HOME: Cassie is house trained and crate trained. She likes her crate and goes in easily when needed. She is curious and should be supervised until she learns the routines and boundaries of her new home.

OTHER DOGS: Cassie is dog friendly and lives successfully with a Pit Bull and a Husky. She enjoys playing with other dogs, cuddling with her foster siblings.

CHILDREN: Cassie has never lived with children, but she has done well meeting children ages 9–11 with her foster.

CATS: Unknown.

LEASH SKILLS: Cassie walks well on leash and loves taking her time to sniff and explore.

BEHAVIOR: When Cassie feels uncertain, she may bark or growl to ask for space. She responds best to a calm, confident person who helps her feel secure.

BEST FIT: Cassie could live with or without another dog and would do well with a dog-savvy adopter who will provide exercise, attention, and clear guidance. In return, she will give her family plenty of affection and loyalty.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.
