Meet Eleanor!

Eleanor is a Mixed Breed gal estimated to be around 9-10 months old and weighing 50 pounds. She found her way to us as a stray and was never reclaimed. Now, this sweet girl is looking for a forever family to call her own!

Eleanor is a friendly girl who has been doing well meeting new people and making new friends! She can be a little timid in new situations, but she is learning to feel more confident with encouragement and positive experiences! Eleanor is still very much a puppy at heart and is working on some of her puppy manners, including her jumpiness, but she has already been making great progress! Like any young pup, Eleanor will benefit from continued guidance with her basic training, including crate training, potty training, and general manners!

Eleanor has plenty of fun puppy energy and loves to zoom around the yard! She also enjoys playing with squeaky toys and spending time with her people! She already knows how to “sit” and takes treats politely. One thing Eleanor has no trouble with is showing her affection! She is a very loving girl who enjoys attention and will happily soak up all the affection she can get!

Eleanor would likely thrive in a home with another dog, especially a confident canine companion who can help show her the ropes and encourage her as she continues building confidence. She met another shelter dog and was very playful and welcoming! A meet-and-greet with any potential canine sibling would be required. She also has the potential to live with a cat with slow, proper introductions. Eleanor would do well with children aged 10 and older.

Eleanor is available through our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means she can head home with her future family while she waits for her scheduled spay procedure. Once her surgery is complete, her adoption can be finalized! Until then, Eleanor gets to trade her kennel for a cozy home, tasty treats, leisurely walks, fun playtime, and plenty of attention and affection while she settles in and gets to show her new family what a sweet, playful companion she can be.
