Meet little Polo! This happy-go-lucky, fun-loving little guy is hoping someone will give him the chance he deserves before time runs out. The moment you meet Polo at his kennel door, you'll be greeted by a wiggly body, happy jumps, and the biggest smile . He is an affectionate, gentle boy who is so excited to make new friends and share his joy with everyone he meets. Polo loves to play! He enjoys a good game of tug-of-war, but he's always careful and gentle when taking the toy. He'll happily chase tennis balls, squeaky toys, and anything that rolls across the yard. One of his favorite games is batting his toys around before pouncing on them... just like a cat! While treats aren't what motivate him most, they certainly make for some hilarious entertainment! Polo has invented his own little game where he'll lay down with a treat, spit it out, bat it around with
his paws, then hand it to you so you'll toss it back—all so he can do it again! His silly imagination and goofy personality are guaranteed to make you smile. More than anything, Polo simply loves being with his people. He's happiest sitting beside you, hanging out, soaking up attention, and enjoying every moment together. Polo has even become one of our helper dogs in shelter playgroups with playful, social dogs. The moment he enters the yard it's GAME ON! He loves to run, wrestle, and have fun with his canine friends. Sometimes he's a little more playful than some dogs prefer, or not playful enough for others, and he may get his feathers a little ruffled if another dog isn't interested—but he never escalates.
He simply shakes it off and moves on, ready to keep having fun. Polo is the kind of dog who fills every day with laughter, smiles, and companionship.
