PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Queenie can be a bit shy with humans, but loves other dogs. She would love to live with another dog in the home that would like to play and show her how to dog. Queenie would do well with respectful children of all ages. She is kennel trained and would love to show you how much she can learn with some positive reinforcement. With the right introduction and training Queenie could do well with cats or other small animals.
Here is what shelter staff and volunteers have to say about Queenie:
Queenie is 6-7 months old and has come such a long way since entering foster care. When she first arrived, she was very scared of the world around her, but with time, patience, and love, shes made wonderful progress and is ready to find her forever home. Shes doing well learning to walk on a leash and continues to build confidence every day. Queenie truly thrives around other dogs and will need a home with a confident canine companion to help her feel secure and keep progressing. Loves other dogs and relies on them for comfort and confidence. Potty trained and doing great with crate training her crate is her safe space. Making steady progress on leash skills. Shes a naturally calm, gentle dog who could live with cats given proper introductions. Still shy with new people, but
improving with patience and kindness. She currently lives with older children. Shes a very sweet girl who will blossom in a calm, understanding home. Queenie is looking for a patient family who understands shy dogs and will give her the time, space, and reassurance she needs to fully come out of her shell. With a dog buddy by her side and the right home, shes going to grow into an incredibly loyal
and loving companion.
