Aggie is available for adoption!

Aggie is a 1.5 year old pittie mix and very petite, about 35 pounds. Aggie is a joyful little pup, she likes to take mornings slow and snuggly, then ramps up by mid day and is ready to play. She loves the kong, her tug rope, running (even running next to a bike), sun bathing, snuggling, and fetch. She is kennel trained and potty trained.

Aggie is very food motivated which has made her training go smoothly. Within two months of having her and daily consistency she can sit, lay down, and stay.

Aggie spent her puppy days on the street and as such she comes with some quirks. She is highly food motivated and eats very fast, we would recommend utilizing an easy feeder. She also can become over stimulated quickly. She has a pray drive and will chase small animals like squirrels and birds, and unfortunately small dogs. Aggie is unfortunately lacking the social skills with other dogs and gets over stimulated in bustling neighborhoods. Aggie would benefit from a single dog home where she doesn’t have to compete for attention or food and a quieter neighborhood with a yard. She walks by other dogs fairly well but when released to play she has become reactive due to overstimulation.

All in all we would say Aggie is highly intelligent, very loving, and mildly reactive for her age. She would be great running companion or a great dog for a family with a large yard she can roam in. Whomever adopts Aggie will have a loyal companion, but also a responsibility to be mindful of her reactivity.
