PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Jolee is reserved and prefers to sit by herself rather than interact with others. She does do well with the other dog she is kenneling with and would do well with another calmer dog. Jolee is taking life one step at a time and needs someone who can help her come out of her shell. Are you her forever family?

Here is what shelter staff and volunteers have to say about Jolee:
When Jolee's mother was approximately a year old, she was dumped. After being taken in by an elderly woman, Jolee's mother (Diamond) gave birth to her and her siblings. All of the other puppies were able to find home except Jolee and her mother Diamond. Jolee has lived her entire life in a small dirt pen with Diamond. She has never shown aggression towards people or other animals. Her interaction with people and other animals has been limited due to the fact that the woman who took her in was also caring from over 70 other dogs. Our rescue began assisting the woman when her health got to the point she could no longer continue to care for all of her animals. Now that almost all of the other dogs being
cared for by this woman have been placed, we have been working to socialize Jolee and Diamond. We are working on leash training and getting them comfortable around dogs of all sizes. This has gone very well. Jolee is quiet and reserved and prefers to watch other dogs play rather than do much playing on
her own, probably due to her limited ability to have that interaction previously. She has shown herself to be a very sweet girl whose whole world has finally opened up to a possible happy future.
