Meet Stewart
If you're looking for a best friend who's just as happy playing tug-of-war as cuddling on the couch, Stewart is your guy! This handsome 3-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix has a heart as big as his smile and loves nothing more than spending time with his favorite people. Whether he's heading out for a walk, chasing a tennis ball in a game of fetch, or curling up beside you after a long day, Stewart is happiest when he's by your side.
Stewart is an active, playful pup who loves walks, tug-of-war, fetch, and proudly carrying around his favorite stuffed animals. When playtime is over, he's more than ready to soak up all the affection you can give. Belly scratches, leg rubs, and gentle face rubs are some of his absolute favorite things, and he'll happily lean in for every bit of love. He's affectionate, goofy, and full of personality. His enthusiasm for life is contagious-and sometimes he forgets just how big he is!
Stewart would thrive in a calm, adult home where he can enjoy a consistent routine and continue building on the training he's already mastered. Because of his energetic play style and excitement, he'd do best in a home without young children. He'd also love to be your one-and-only canine companion, though he has done well with female dogs.
This smart boy is house-trained, knows basic commands, and loves learning with treats and toys as rewards. He's continuing to improve his loose-leash walking and is polishing his "sit" and "down" cues. Stewart can become overstimulated when he sees other dogs on walks; with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he's making progress every day.
If you're ready for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, keep you active, and happily snuggle up at the end of the day, Stewart is ready to meet you. He can't wait to find the forever family he's been dreaming of.
Stewart is participating in the iRehome program. All iRehome dogs are being rehomed by their current owner. All iRehome behavioral and medical information is provided by the dog's current owner. TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with the current owner prior to completing the adoption process.
