Odin - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Dallas, Texas

Odin is a beautiful Blue Nose Pit we rescued 3 years ago. We are looking for someone
that can help him find the right forever home. He is a large, strong dog with a playful personality and lots of love to give. He enjoys playing, cuddling on the couch and going on walks. Once he feels comfortable, he can be very affectionate and loyal. He does best in calm environments where he can relax and feel secure.

He does have some special needs that will require an experienced adopter. He is dog-aggressive and should be the only pet in the home. Recently, Odin was involved in two fights with our other dog, which ultimately led us to make the difficult decision to find him a different home. He is generally good with people, but he can become
overwhelmed in crowded situations or when surrounded by large groups of people, so
he thrives in a quieter setting.

He also suffers from a significant grass allergy that requires management, but aside from that, he is healthy, active, and ready to enjoy life.

The decision to rehome Odin became even more difficult after welcoming a new baby into our family. Odin has never shown aggression toward our baby, and there have been no incidents involving our child. However, given the recent fights with our other dog and the uncertainty of how he may adjust long-term to life with an infant and the changes that come with a growing family, we felt it was best not to take any chances. We believe finding him a home better suited to his needs is the most responsible choice for both
Odin and our family.

the structure, patience, and love he deserves. With the right person, he has the potential to be an incredible companion.
