Meet Levi the Big Softie — a big-headed heartthrob, professional cuddle bug, and full-time lap dog (despite being very much not lap-sized).

Levi is a handsome pittie/staffy mix (we think!) built like a little tank with the soul of a teddy bear. He’s got the squishiest face, soft, gentle eyes, and a goofy grin that melts people instantly. Once you’re his person, personal space is officially canceled — Levi wants to be on you, next to you, or leaning all of his weight into you at all times.

Levi is a huge lover boy who thrives on being spoiled. He firmly believes he deserves his own chairs, premium couch spots, and a full wardrobe of pajamas and sweaters. He loves curling up in your lap, pressing in for cuddles, and living his best cozy life. He’s affectionate, gentle, and deeply bonded to his people — the kind of dog who makes you feel chosen every single day.

And just when you think he’s all snuggles… Levi surprises you with the cutest little zoomies. They’re short, silly bursts of happiness where his joy just spills out, usually followed by a dramatic flop and immediate cuddle recovery. It’s impossible not to smile when he does it.

Since being in foster care, Levi has truly blossomed. Once he feels safe, his personality shines — tail wagging, eyes lighting up, and cuddle mode fully activated. He’s goofy, sweet, and endlessly loving, and when Levi loves you, he loves you hard.

Levi absolutely loves other dogs and gains confidence from having a dog buddy around. He enjoys being part of the pack, following along, joining in when the vibes are right, and then settling in together for naps. A medium energy female pup would be his ideal friend, but he is a very dog friendly guy! Any friendly dog in the home would be a big bonus for him.

For his forever home, Levi would do best in a house rather than an apartment, simply because he prefers a lower-traffic, quieter environment. New people can take him a little time to warm up to, and he does best with slow introductions and a calm routine instead of frequent visitors and busy hallways. Once he knows you’re safe, it’s all love and devotion.

Levi is no little kiddos, please. He may be okay with teenagers once he’s comfortable, and we’re happy to do a teen test to ensure everyone is set up for success. And while he adores dogs, cats are a no — he will chase.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for for Canadian adopters). Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
