DESCRIPTION

Tigger Tiggy is the definition of a soul dog. Through and through. He loves loves loves his people and within 5 minutes of knowing him, the second you call his name he comes running toward you with the biggest smile on his face. Once he loves you, there truly is no going back. He is incredibly loyal, your ride or die companion, and everything you could want in a dog. Not only does he make deep connections with people, but he is also incredibly smart. The kind of smart that’s driven by how badly he wants to make you happy. He’ll do anything for you simply because he loves you. Of course he’ll work for treats too, but that’s not what drives him… his love for you does. If you look up the definition of a “soul dog,” that is Tigger Tiggy to an absolute T.

Watch his video and quickly realize this is your soul dog you’ve been searching for: https://youtu.be/R5zYgv21Mp8?si=f96HDxDwe9jsZdAA

Tigger Tiggy is believed to be a pittie mix approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 68 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.

Tigger is dog friendly and is currently fostered in a home with two other large males and one female dog. His foster says that one of her favorite things about him is the way he is with her older male dog and the way they play together. Tigger has brought out that older dog’s inner “puppy,” and it makes her heart melt watching them enjoy each other’s company. He also did really well with all of the dogs we introduced him to. Tigger is more of a slower burn with other dogs and it does take him a little time to fully feel comfortable and let his goofy side show itself. He appreciates taking his time to get to know other dogs, understand their playstyle, and ultimately feel safe. Give him a little patience in the beginning and the rest is history. Tigger will do best with a female doggy friend that will allow him to get the lay of the land and feel comfortable first. Once he’s settled in his new home, you’ll find your resident dog and Tigger sunbathing together, snuggling up for naps, wrestling in the backyard, and doing everything side by side. All he needs is a little time to trust and he’s golden.

Tigger also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around him as well. We do not know if Tigger has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know!

There truly is so much to love about Tigger. It was mentioned briefly in the intro that he is very smart, so let’s go into detail about how smart this guy is and how he was born to make you happy. Tigger already knows a handful of commands such as sit and down, is crate trained and potty trained, and walks incredibly well on a leash. He loves to go on walks and is so easy to handle. The second he feels any tension on the leash, he automatically slows his pace. Even when something really interests him, a gentle correction is all it takes and he responds immediately. Tigger also seems to have a solid recall. Call his name (especially in a silly baby voice) and he comes running every time. And when he does? He does this adorable little “happy paw” dance where his front paws bounce off the ground as he trots toward you. It’s the best thing ever and guaranteed to make you smile.

Tigger’s foster has shared that he has been around kids ranging from 6–12 years old and has done great with them. He has all the makings of a wonderful family dog. If you have kids and would like to know more about his interactions, we’re happy to arrange that! Tigger could thrive in an apartment with a semi-active family and proper exercise, but his ideal home would include a fenced-in backyard. He loves being outside, exploring, zooming, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying all the smells. A yard where he can do all his favorite things would make him one happy boy.

At the end of the day, Tigger just wants to be with you. Whether that’s snuggling on the couch, going for a walk, sitting out on the porch, heading out on a little adventure, or even going on a camping trip, he’s in. Work from home? He'll be the best coworker too. Just don't go running to HR because he's smooching on you. Honestly, as long as he’s with his people, he’s exactly where he wants to be.

We are willing to test Tigger Tiggy with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
