Pembroke Welsh Corgi Dogs Available for Adoption in Westfield, New York

Available soon, fresh off her freedom ride and giving a royal wave to her former life of producing puppies for profit, Queen Elizabeth is ready to cue the fanfare as she looks ahead to new & happier horizons.
*Elizabeth is in foster care and will be spayed soon. Meet & Greets can be arranged for approved applicants.
This majestic Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a 3 year old female, weighing approximately 32 lbs. She is full-grown, and while she is short, she is not small! Liz seems to have a remarkably calm temperament and is not overly anxious, even with all the recent changes in her circumstances - keeping calm and carrying on, dignity and decorum come naturally to her. She gets along fine with most other dogs, too. Due to her background, she is not yet house trained and is unfamiliar with leash walking, but she is smart and we anticipate she will be able to learn and adjust fairly quickly.

*Approved applicants are welcome to participate in our popular Slumber Party program and take a dog home for up to 2 weeks to make sure he/she is a great fit.  
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application at www.caninerescue.org. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again when you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email us at adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
