Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption in Westfield, New York

Jade arrived at NCCR on 5/30/26, transferred from an overcrowded shelter that ran out of room for her. It is unknown how or why she ended up in a shelter in her golden years, but she is hoping to find a comfy home and a loving family to spend the rest of her life with. She is a sweet senior at 14 years old, reportedly friendly and affectionate, and she gets along with most other dogs, too. One look at that old teddy bear face and she’ll melt your heart!
*Approved applicants are welcome to participate in our popular Slumber Party program and take a dog home for up to 2 weeks to make sure he/she is a great fit.
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application at www.caninerescue.org. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again when you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email us at adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
